It is a minimally invasive treatment in which tiny punctures are created in the skin using a pen device that holds a disposable cartridge housing micro-fine needles. Skin Expert Kate uses an adjustable microneedling pen to work with different depths of channelling. The needle can go from 0.5 to 2.5 millimetres deep into the skin as the skin needs it. This treatment triggers the body's wound healing process. It stimulates collagen and elastin production making new baby skin tissue. The microneedling pen uses sterile, individually-sealed, and disposable needle cartridges for optimal patient safety and comfort.
Downtime
There will be mild redness that might last for about 4 to 48 hours depending on how the skin will react to the treatment.
May experience micropeeling 2 to 3 days after the treatment and may last for 5 to 7 days.
Dryness and some breakouts are normal post treatment. (Any kind of peel treatment can cause dryness and breakouts because it purges your skin.)
Some scabbing, and bronzing might develop with stamping technique and may last for about 7 to 14 days.
